I would like to hire veterans. How do I let Mission43 know about job opportunities?

Mission43 connects Idaho employers with transitioning military members, veterans, and military spouses preparing for their next career. Our Idaho-based employment team, in partnership with Hire Heroes USA, provides one-on-one transition support and career matching. If you are an employer with open positions, you can share your opportunities with Mission43, and our employment team will work to match qualified candidates from our network.

How do I donate to Mission43?

We always appreciate people and businesses looking to donate to our work. Mission43 is a non-profit, but is a fully funded initiative of the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation. We don't take in any donations, but we can reccomend some great alternatives that will reach our Mission43 members through other means. Hire Heroes USA oversees the employment of Mission43 members, directly supporting over 1000 veterans in Idaho transition to meaningful employment.

Where did Mission43 get its name?

Idaho is the 43rd state!

Does Mission43 have events only in the Treasure Valley?

No. We are based our of the Treasure Valley, but we have recurring engagement, employment, and education events throughout the state.

How do I find out about upcoming events or programs?

All Mission43 events are posted on the Mission43 website events page. Members will be kept up-to-date via email, so make sure we have a good email address.

I don't live in Idaho. Can I still access services?

Our services are focused on helping people transitioning out of the military and living in Idaho. If you are out-of-state and are thinking about moving here, then you should absolutely sign up and work with our team. We want to make Idaho a serious possibility for you because this is a great place for military families after the service!

I have never deployed to a combat zone. Can I still be a part of Mission43?

Absolutely. Our members have very diverse backgrounds, many of which do not include combat deployments or active duty service. Mission43 services are also equally created for and provided to Military Spouses.

I'm not a veteran, can I join Mission43?

Yes, you can select "Civilian Supporter" during membership registration. Some of our specialized support services are only available to military members and spouses, but our engagement opportunities are inclusive of civilian members. It's extremely important to have you because the military community needs to integrate back into the civilian community after service, not the other way around.

Is Mission43 only for post 9/11 veterans?

No. Although we focus on those who are transitioning from the military back into civilian life, Mission43 will support a veteran or military spouse from any era.
